FAQ - Technical & Maintenance

(Applicable for Jantzen Bacteria Free Water Purification System)

        1. How do I start my Jantzen Bacteria Free Water Purification System? click here>>

There is no start or stop switch. Once the system is installed, the system automatically starts working. If your main water valve is open all the time, the system will keep on working.

        2. What type of maintenance is required for the purification system?  click here>>

The unit should be sanitized at least every 6 -12 months with our “Power Wash” solution. The indication is seen on the outlet pressure gauge where you can notice the pressure is dropping to a certain limit.

        3. What is Power Wash solution? click here>>

The “Power Wash” solution is specially developed by Jantzen over the years in treating their RO system. It is gentle in prolonging the lifespan of the membrane yet effectively strong in removing all the impurities from the system. The sanitation is done with special equipment by certified personnel. It will take about 1 hour to complete this task.

        4. Will the system affects the water pressure? click here>>

Yes. There will be a slight reduction on the water pressure (0.025 bars) but that is good as it indicates that the membrane is removing particulates or contaminants.

        5. Does the system require 240 volt electricity?  click here>>

No. The system works using your existing water pressure and no electricity is required to purified your water. You’ll have purified water from every tap in your house even during a power failure. Yet, a 9 volt alkaline battery is required to run the timer for the auto flushing controller unit and it usually can last up to 1 year.

        6. What happens if the 9 volt battery goes out?  click here>>

The auto flushing function in the system will be de-activated and the hollow membrane will eventually get blocked. The outlet pressure gauge will have a lower reading. At this point, you need to replace a new battery. We suggest you to replace the battery every 12 months to prevent the above matters occur, It is also advisable to put a remark or date on the battery replaced. It will act as a reference for your future battery replacement.

        7. How often do I need to replace the membrane cartridge?  click here>>

Jantzen Bacteria Free Water Purification System should have a life expectancy of 5 years. However, there are a lot of variables that can affect the membrane lifespan. For instance, turbidity, particle size, water pressure and volume of water used can determine the membrane cartridge life.

        8. Is the membrane cartridge expensive? click here>>

No. Invest RM200* per year and get a membrane cartridge that has an operative lifespan for about 5 years.

It is consider a low cost investment in exchange for clean and pure water if compare to other purification system.

        9. Do I need to perform the backwash system manually? click here>>

Interestingly, Jantzen Bacteria Free Water Purification System equipped with an auto flushing system which is more effective in prolonging membrane cartridge.

Our Periodic Timer will do the flushing for you.

The flushing system involves only one step by opening a flushing valve for 30 seconds, it enables the raw water passes through the hollow fiber at a higher speed, thoroughly clean out the impurities from the system.
